The Lancers scored 2 in the first inning after Crawford (1-3 2B R) walked, and Schultz (1-4 R) singled to right field. With 2 outs, Razo (1-1 3B, 2RBI) hit a triple that scored both runs. The score remained 2-0 until the 6th inning. With 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Leidholt(1-3 2RBI) hit a single that drove in both runs and gave Lakewood a 4-0 lead. Timely hitting, and another great pitching performance was the story for this game. Sanchez pitched 5 innings of hitless ball. In doing so he struck out 5 Broncos and walked 2. Padilla got the save by pitching a scoreless 6th and 7th inning. He struck out 4 and pitched the Lancers out of a jam in the 6th, when he inherited 2 runners with no outs.
